An Adventure, A Birthday, and A BIG Challenge...

Iowa:
WHAT. AN. ADVENTURE

What should have been a few hour, two plane, one car journey to get safely tucked into our cozy room in Sioux Center, Iowa
 turned into a two day, three plane, one hotel, one bus, one car
{DISASTER!}

Once we FINALLY arrived it was a really great trip!
We were so well taken care of and had some really great family time to just enjoy one another.

A Little Glimpse of the Campus
Evan was able to meet with the {entire} Theology staff at the school - which was not something we expected.

Most all of his questions were answered and we came to the conclusion that
Iowa could be our home.
{For a bit at least ;)}

Here are a few pictures...
I'll warn you... there's not a {WHOLE} lot to see there.

{A Windmill}
They were all over, but the sunset behind this was just too beautiful not to take a picture.
Not a Mountain in sight. THAT will take some getting used to.

Lots and Lots of farms. T.I.I.
{This. Is. Iowa.}
All in all, we really enjoyed our time. It was nice to get home though. Just in time for

A BIRTHDAY!
This sweet little girl that the Lord blessed us with turned
{2!}

Can someone PLEASE tell me how this happened?!
We got home on E's birthday so we had a small celebration for her when we got home that night but the big
{BEWTAY PAWTEE}
-as she called it-
was on the weekend.
We were so blessed by everyone who came and made it special.
She had so much fun playing with her friends and
eating the YUMMY cake from Miss Allison.

Eden's birthday party day also marked me reaching the 28 week mark in this pregnancy.
{YAY!}
So that meant an OB check up bright and early
the next day.

Cue
The BIG Challenge:

That appointment turned out a LOT liiitle different than we'd anticipated.

For the past 6 weeks or so I've been on a medication that is used to treat early labor/contractions. It has definitely been working, but if i forget to take it
 {which is common in our crazy life!}
the contractions start right up again.

After talking with the doctor about this and how I've been feeling with it all
she decided she would check to see if my body was progressing at all.

Lo and Behold
{it is!}

So at this point I've been put on bed rest until further notice.
For me that means:
No Work.
No Dance.
No Cleaning.
No Carrying Eden.
and lots of doing nothing.
{yuk!}

For our family that means:
Loss of my income.
Having to move.
Expediting our process of getting rid of things.
Relying on the Lord {EVEN MORE} to provide for our needs.

We're excited to meet our sweet Daphne, but she definitely needs to stay in my tummy for a bit longer.

Please
- as you've already been so faithful to -
continue to pray for our little family.

We'll be making some big transitions and decisions
over the next month
and could use all the encouragement, prayer, and love we can get.

Oh and if any of you are REALLY good at moving,
we could probably use a little help with that ;)

We'll be selling a lot of household stuff too.
So if you need anything...
be sure to shop
"The Daggett Family Garage" :P

Love you all and thank you for loving us!

We're learning more and more that all things happen
{For His Glory and Our Good.}

Let's Go Fly A Kite!

Today was so much fun.
There is something so special about waking up and not having anything to do
but lay in bed and snuggle the ones you love.

And then getting to start your day like this...

{It's pretty awesome!}

Our Babymoon {as Eden is calling it} has been such a blessing.

Rarely do we have the opportunity to just be together with no schedule.
Rarely do we have the option of doing absolutely nothing if we so choose.
Rarely do I have the privilege to just watch my husband love on his baby girl with
{ZERO}
distraction.

And I have been filled with joy to have all these things in the last 24 hours.

{Thank you, Lord!}

Here's a little of our adventure today.

{with a few tears}

And the one thing we were all looking forward to this weekend....

{WE FLEW A KITE!!!!}

{and this little girl LOVED it!}

Tomorrow we embark on our adventure to Iowa.
We'll see if Sioux Center is the place for us for the next few years.
Excitement, Nerves, Anxiety....
Yeah I've got a few things going through my mind.

But we know that the Lord is good
and we trust that He will make the
path clear for us.

Thank you for praying for our little family.
We {SO} appreciate it!

WOAH... 2012?!

I'm not going to say that I'm making a New Years Resolution to blog regularly, but I have a feeling {with all that's sitting ahead of us this year} I'll be more active in sharing life.

Waiting for us currently {and mot pressing} is our trip next weekend to visit Dordt College campus in Iowa. This will be the first step in a long process of waiting. We're excited to see if it's a good fit for us, and still nervous about the prospect of being so far from home.

Then of course the fast approaching arrival of our newest addition {98 days til EDD?! NUTS!}

Needless to say, 2012 is promising to be an exciting ride for us.

We're trusting that the Lord will provide for us every step of the way.

Happy New Year to you. May 2012 be an exciting year for you and those around you.

All things for His Glory and Our Good.
